Banff Ptarmigan Inn

The 134 rooms at the Banff Ptarmigan Inn, categorized as Standard, Superior or Premium, have exceptionally comfortable feather beds, and all are decorated with warm natural wood furnishings.

Standard rooms can sleep up to four adults and have an internal atrium or lobby view, while all Superior rooms have an exterior view, with some having a balcony. The eight Premium rooms are the best, as you might expect, with fireplaces, jetted tubs, and separate showers. They are located at the front of the building facing onto Banff Avenue with amazing views of Mount Rundle and Sulphur Mountain.

The Meatball, the hotel's onsite restaurant, has an Italian-inspired menu with a good selection of pizza and pasta dishes and also serves a buffet breakfast daily. The small lounge and bar area, with its large wood burning fire, is a perfect spot to unwind with a drink after a long day on the slopes.

Health and leisure facilities include two whirlpools, steam room, dry sauna and a small gym area. Check out the Canadian Alpine Wall of Honour in the lobby, celebrating the achievements of the Canadian National Alpine Ski Team.
