Blue Mountain Lodge B&B, Banff

Blue Mountain Lodge, Banff
Blue Mountain Lodge is a bed and breakfast inn located in a residential area of Banff at the corner of Caribou and Muskrat Street. It is just a few minutes' stroll from downtown Banff's shopping, restaurants, and ski/tour departure points.

This 1908 property is full of charm and character, with cozy little rooms, some with Rocky Mountain wilderness themes, and all with private bathroom, shower and cable TV.

The accommodation here offers good value for money, with continental breakfast served daily until 11am and complimentary hot beverages available all day. A guest kitchen and lounge is also available for preparation of light meals and snacks.

History
Whyte Museum records show that Blue Mountain Lodge first appeared in Banff National Park tax rolls in 1908. It was opened by Sarah E. Taylor as a rooming house following the death of her husband at the nearby Bankhead mines.

During subsequent years, the Black family owned Blue Mountain Lodge and then a Mrs. Inez Miller took ownership and started renting rooms to visitors. Hugh and Irene Simpson bought the Lodge in 1987 and renovated the property with the help of their son Ryan. The Blue Mountain Lodge has been under the new ownership of Louise and Pascal Dell-Courtemanche since January 2007.
