One Week at the Rimrock Resort Hotel

February 20, 2009 - The Rimrock Resort Hotel (Rimrock) is proud to be among a selection of iconic Canadian locations featured in the movie, One Week, which stars prominent Canadian actor, Joshua Jackson. Filmed at the Rimrock in September 2007, pivotal scenes between the movie's lead characters Ben Tyler (Joshua Jackson) and his fiancée Samantha Pierce (Liane Balaban), take place in the Larkspur Lounge, Signature GrandView Suite 702 (the "Presidential Suite"), Divas Lounge, and the Rimrock's pool terrace and driveway. Other notable Banff locations include the Banff Bridge and the Bow River Falls; the same site where Marilyn Monroe's 1953 River of No Return was filmed.

One Week is about a young man's quest to find meaning in his life, and escape treatment, after he is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Award-winning Writer, Producer and Director, Michael McGowan (Saint Ralph), brings the distinct charms of each province, from east to west, together in 94-minutes. McGowan states, "One Week is a love-letter to Canada. As such the scenes that we shot in and around Banff, including the Rimrock, certainly added to the grandeur of the film."
