Banff Child Care Centre receives $75,000 for renovationsOctober 1, 2007 - The Banff Child Care Centre has received a contribution of $75,000 from the Community Initiatives Program of the Alberta Lottery Fund towards the cost of upgrading its facilities. The grant will be used to fund the cost of internal renovations at the centre on Banff's Bighorn Street, supplementing contributions by the Town of Banff. The Banff Child Care Centre provides licensed child care services for children from ages birth to six years old in the Bow Valley. Banff-Cochrane MLA Janis Tarchuk, who is also Minister of Children's Services, presented the cheque for $75,000 today to Marty von Neudegg, Board Chairman of the Day Care Society of Banff.
