CBCThe Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), a Crown corporation, is Canada's national radio and television broadcaster. CBC broadcasts one terrestrial television channel and one radio station over-the-air in the Banff area. Both are rebroadcasts of CBC Calgary programming. CBC Radio One (CBRB) is a commercial-free English language radio station broadcasting local, national and international news, current affairs and general-interest programming. It can be heard in Banff on 96.3MHz FM. CBC Television (CBRT) is an English-language TV station delivering a wide range of general, special interest and high-impact programming, news and information. Local news programme CBC News at Six is broadcast from Calgary on weekday evenings at 6:00pm (MST). CBC Television can be viewed in Banff on Channel 5, Cable 6, ExpressVu Channel 245 and Star Choice Channel 306. CBC Newsworld is an English-language cable television news channel funded by cable subscriber fees and commercial advertising. It predominantly delivers news, factual and documentary-style programming, some of which is shared with CBC's main television network. CBC Newsworld can be viewed in Banff on cable Channel 8, Bell ExpressVu satellite Channel 502 and Star Choice satellite Channel 390.
