Myron Thompson
Myron Thompson is the Member of Parliament for the Wild Rose riding which stretches from the mountains of Banff National Park to the rolling prairies of Central Alberta.

He was nominated as a Reform Party candidate on June 13, 1992, first elected to the House of Commons on 25 October 1993 and re-elected in 1997. In 2000 he was re-elected to Parliament as a Canadian Alliance candidate and in 2006 won a fifth term as a member of the new Conservative Party of Canada.

Prior to becoming an MP, he spent 23 years as teacher, counsellor and principal at Sundre High School as well as serving as a councillor and Mayor of Sundre, Alberta.
