I have returned to the UK from a two week trip to Banff and the Rockies and kept all my receipts for accommodation and a snowboaring jacket that I bought on sale, so that I can claim back the GST.

However, the guy I was sitting next to on the plane home, told me that the Government of Canada has cancelled the GST visitors rebate programme. Is this true? I will be disappointed if it is!
