Hello Judith

Banff Hot Springs is well worth a visit during your trip. Relaxing in the outdoor pool with its amazing views of Mount Rundle is an experience not to be missed. The cost is around $7.40 and $1.00 for a locker.

There is free parking there or you can take the Banff Public Transit bus on the Sulphur Mountain route.

Sometimes the natural water flow from the spring falls, and Parks Canada has to supplement it with water from the piped municipal water supply. However, as springtime approaches, the natural water flow increases and is normally sufficient to fill the pool. At the time of writing (June 2007), it is running on 100% natural hot spring water. You can always check the current situation by calling Banff Upper Hot Springs directly at (403) 762-1515.

There is also a spa on site that offers massage, facials, body wraps, steam room and plunge pool. Check it out at www.pleiadesmassage.com/pleiades_banff/

Enjoy!
