Wild Bill's Legendary Saloon, BanffWild Bill's Legendary Saloon is a popular western-themed bar in the heart of downtown Banff on Banff Avenue, dedicated to one of Banff's early pioneers, Bill Peyto. This long established venue has become something of a Banff institution, with every self-respecting cowboy and cowgirl showing up at the Wild West nights on Wednesdays, featuring calf roping contests (don't worry - it's a mechanical calf!) and line dancing lessons. Wild Bill's also has a good reputation for its comedy nights and live music events. Indeed, even Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones was spotted here during the Calgary stop of their world tour. The live music nights vary in style, with Wednesdays through Saturdays being more Country-oriented. The menu features western and Tex-Mex style fare such as nachos, chicken wings, burgers, ribs and steaks. Get ready for a good time and remember your cowboy hat! Hours: 11 am - 2 am daily
