Bell Canada acquired The Source by Circuit City corporate stores in Canada from Circuit City Stores Inc in 2009. US-based Circuit City filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November 2008 and originally acquired The Source stores through InterTAN Canada Ltd following the 2004 purchase of InterTAN's US parent company. Circuit City rebranded InterTAN's Canadian RadioShack retail consumer electronics stores as The Source By Circuit City.
