Roots, Banff
The Roots store on Banff Avenue sells urban athletic, retro-inspired clothing for men and women, along with
sportswear, yoga apparel, backpacks, bags and accessories.
Roots products are designed in Canada, and in 2004 in Athens, it was the official outfitter for the Olympic
teams of Canada, the United States, Great Britain and Barbados.
The Roots product collections include:

History
Roots is a privately held company with a strong Canadian heritage. It was established by Michael Budman and Don
Green in 1973 as a natural footwear company, starting as a small store in Toronto selling the Roots Negative Heel
Shoe (Earth Shoes), and has since grown to become one of the most recognized lifestyle brands in Canada.
It has more than 110 stores in Canada and the United States along with over 30 locations in Asia.
