Lululemon Athletica, Banff

The company has established a name for itself in developing stylish and functional yoga apparel using technical athletic fabrics. While the clothing is yoga-inspired, it is worn by people for a range of active pursuits, including skiing, biking, running and dancing, even just for visiting the local coffee shop.

Lululemon Athletica was established in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1998 by Chip Wilson, founder of Westbeach Sports, a skate, surf and snowboard clothing company, and has since grown into a chain spanning Canada, the USA, Australia and Japan.

The Banff location, which opened in June 2006, organizes regular activities and events, including weekly in-store yoga and a running club.
