GORO Canyon Smoke & Gift, Banff

The store sells everyday essentials such as newspapers, lottery tickets, magazines, postage stamps, postcards, maps and snack food, along with a wide selection of Canadian gifts and souvenirs such as:

• Jewellery
• Canadian sweaters
• Canadian art
• Maple syrup products including cookies and chocolate
• General gifts

In addition, the shop also has a good selection of Cuban cigars, such as Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, Hoyo de Monterrey, and Partagas. Note that the Canada Post retail outlet at the GORO closed in 2003.

History
The store was established in 1981 by George and Roma Osicki, creating the name GORO as an acronym of their initials. The store is managed by three sisters, Roma Osicki, and Ewa and Maya Wojnarowska
